Chris M. Marple

Clinician & adjudicator

I believe that vocal and choral music has a way to elicit responses from performers and audience members alike.  It teaches music literacy, self-esteem, discipline, group work, and allows performers to learn how to find a passion for dozens of musical genres.

With over 16 years of teaching elementary, secondary, and collegiate-level vocal and choral music, I would love the opportunity to work with your students.

I am available to  help with the following areas: All-State preparation and quartet work; choral ensemble prep for concerts, tours, or festivals; assisting with madrigal ensembles, jazz choir, show choir, concert choir, and speech events.

I am also available to consult with the choral staff regarding: tours; auditions; changing voice; repertoire selection; LGBTQ issues in the music classroom; and many other topics.

As of October of 2019, I will be available to assist with adjudication of vocal/choral events in Iowa.  I have adjudicated Illinois solo/ensemble festivals for three years.
